CIVIC EDUCATION: ALOKITO NAGORIK

Impart civic education to citizens to make them:

  • (a) aware about their basic human rights and their concurrent responsibilities to fellow human beings;
  • (b) motivate citizens to take united stand when their rights are infringed upon;
  • (c) voice concern against human rights violations, and if necessary, stand up against human rights violations, corruption, dishonest practices, government inefficiency;
  • (d) motivate citizens to stand up against corruption, dishonest practices, and government inefficiency;
  • (e) demand good governance;
  • (f) motivate citizens to elect just, honest, and truthful representatives at all levels;
  • (g) in case of breach of trust, hold representatives accountable;
  • (h) create awareness in citizens that their elected representatives are hired by them to serve their interests and the interests of the country;
  • (i) create awareness in citizens that what is good for them or for their political parties may not always be good for the country; we should create the urge to strive for what is good for the country as a whole;
  • (j) support citizens who in trying to realize their rights, stand in need of legal, financial, administrative, and advisory support;
  • (k) establish legal aid service centers for the victimized, vulnerable, poor people specially for the women and children.

—By pursuing this objective we will strive to positively impact the self-serving and harmful political culture and politics of the country by being a social organization.
